A Different View on Work

We all have work to do. What kind of work do you like the most? What kind of work would you like to avoid? Why – at all – do you work? Is work good or bad? Upcoming Sunday we read a part of Genesis 2. Last week we saw that humans were created as image bearers of God. This week we will see how that implies that God created us for work. Sure, not for work only (also for rest and to enjoy food and fellowship). Still: for work also.  Even before Adam and Eve had sinned and when they were still in paradise, they were called to work. Upcoming Sunday we will learn more about that.

You are so welcome to join and to learn more!

Treasure Seekers

Last week at Treasure Seekers, the children learned that we can trust God even despite difficult situations.  This week they will see that God is powerful to keep his promises.  Please can Explorers kids bring their bibles? For children now in the first years of secondary school, the new Adventurers group will start next Sunday 14th.

Title: God Keeps His Promise
Text: Genesis 17:1-8; 18:1-16; 21:1-7
Big Idea: Despite their old age, God keeps his promise to give Abraham a son with Sarah.
Aim: To teach that we can trust God to keep his very big promises because he is all powerful.
