We live in a time of polarisation. More and more everyone lives in his or her own bubble. People understand each other less and less. More easily people and groups of people and even nations fight each other. That is a sad thing. We may wonder whether that can ever be stopped. From Jesus we know that until the end of the times there would be wars and rumours of wars. When we look at that, it is important that we see where the problems all come from. Upcoming Sunday, we read in Genesis again. We will see how after the first men fell in sin, a lot of trouble would follow. However, we will also see how there was something given to them on which they could build their faith and from which they could have comfort, hope and strength – they received the Gospel in a nutshell.
