It is a wonderful thing to know that somebody has really accepted you and loves you. It is a wonderful to know that somebody really appreciates a thing that you gave to that person out of love. How can we know whether God has really accepted us? Would God ever appreciate something that we give to him? And if so, how do we know? Or should we simply assume that he accepts and appreciates everyone and everything that is given to him? The latter is not what the Bible teaches. Upcoming Sunday, we read Genesis 4:1-7 about Cain and Abel. Abel was accepted by the Lord, with his offering. Cain was not.
