A new year has started. We may hope and pray to receive good things in the new year. However, it is inevitable that we face difficulties. You may already have experienced that. Upcoming Sunday we will continue to read the letter of James. In James 1:1-11 we will see how James challenges those who face difficulties to exercise faith and thereby to find comfort. Prepare for Lord’s Supper
On Sunday 18 January we hope to be able to celebrate the Lord’s Supper. In order to celebrate in a worthy manner it is good that we prepare ourselves. If we continue in a known sin, without repentance, we are not ready to celebrate. If we, so far it depends on us, do not live peaceably with all, we are not ready to celebrate. So let us use the time that the Lord gives us, in order that we may celebrate the Lord’s Supper in a worthy manner to the glory of God. If there is something wherein you struggle and you need help, do not hesitate to let your pastor or one of the elders know about it.
