Compassionate correction

In the Christian life, periods of testing are inevitable. And testing can be painful. For tested Christians and churches, James wrote a marvellous letter. Earlier we saw how James, by the Holy Spirit, offered challenging comfort. Though his readers were hurt, felt sad and lacked joy, they needed to be challenged. They needed to think through their situation again and to see how they should proceed with the Lord’s wisdom. They needed to be reminded of the beatitudes.

Upcoming Sunday, we continue our series in James. And we will see how James, while he saw how some Christians were tempted and much attracted to go astray, provided compassionate correction. He saw they were in great danger. He did not judge or condemn them, but did his utmost to win them back. You are so welcome to join and learn more. We will continue to read James 1:1-18.
