To wait is not easy. We often have to wait. Whether we like it or not. In modern culture, we are no longer used to having to wait. In a consumer culture, the standard is to provide you with what you want immediately. Christian faith has much to do with waiting patiently. With waiting, while you suffer and are under trial. Many of the Psalms were written to help the believer wait in times of difficulty. Let us be honest. In some situations it is very hard to wait. For instance when very unfair and unjust things happen. Upcoming Sunday we will learn how the letter of James helps us herein (James 5:7-11).
