It’s almost Valentine’s day. Maybe you hope to find your true Valentine soon. Maybe you think you found him or her. Or maybe you once thought you found your Valentine, but great disappointment followed. Nowhere can we be hurt so much as within relationships. We may both feel strongly attracted to fall in love, as well as be very reluctant and scared of really committing ourselves to someone else. Around relationships and marriage we may have many thoughts and questions. Upcoming Sunday we listen to what the Holy Spirit, trough the apostle Paul, has said to us about marriage. Though not all issues and questions may be answered, we will undoubtedly see that Paul’s view of marriage is breathtaking. Not only so, it is also relevant for the unmarried (as the apostle himself was). We will read again Ephesians 5:15-33 and look in particular at verses 25-33.
