Nobody would think of rebuilding a house, when the location for rebuilding is in a war-zone. There first needs to be peace. Otherwise rebuilding might be dangerous and senseless – it might soon be ruined again. When God saves us, his grace is enough, not only to save us, but also to give us a proper place in building up the body of Christ, the church. Yet, we are not immediately ready for that. We live in a world wherein we are afflicted in many ways, our hearts crave for inner rest and peace. As long as we haven’t found these, we will run after anything that promises such peace. And we won’t feel ready to commit ourselves to serve and help build up Christ’s church. Upcoming Sunday we continue our series on Paul’s letter to the Ephesians and we finish studying Ephesians 4:7-16 about spiritual gifts. We will learn how we may enjoy inward stability and peace, so that we can find our own proper place in building up Christ’s church. You are so welcome to join and to learn more!

TREASURE SEEKERS

Last week the children at ICFD saw that God had the walls of Jerusalem rebuilt.  This week they see how God cares about rebuilding the faith of his people too.

Children aged approx 3-7 are welcome at Discoverers, and aged approx 8-11 at Explorers.  Please can Explorers kids bring their bibles?

Aim: To teach that the correct response to God’s kindness is to live in obedience to his word.
