HOW TO SLEEP

Sometimes it is not hard to fall asleep. After a wonderful, satisfying day, when you are tired, you may fall asleep easily. But what if you had a sad day. Many things did not go as you would have liked. You are worried. You feel angry. There is so much unrest. Upcoming Sunday we will read a prayer that king David made for the end of a very sad day. A prayer that would help God’s people of all ages to find joy, peace and safety amidst of unrest through prayer. You are so welcome to join and learn more!

TREASURE SEEKERS – IN PERSON

This week the kids see from Job how we can trust God’s plan for our life because of his great wisdom and power — he will always do what is best for us.

During the ICF Delft service, children leave for their own Bible teaching at Treasure Seekers part-way through the service, after the kids’ song, and rejoin for the final song of the service.  The creche room is also available for 0-2 year olds. For those not attending ICFD in person, we’ll continue to send materials by email.

This Sunday, the kids’ Bible passage is selected verses from the last chapters of Job: 38:1-11 & 39-41; 41:1-11; 42:1-6 & 10-17.  The Big Idea is that God reminded Job that his wisdom and power are greater than anyone else’s; Job responded in worship and God blessed him. Here is a video telling Job’s story (in Dutch). The kids’ song is: 5021 “Sometimes Good Things Happen”.

The memory verse for the Job series is Job 42:2 [NIVUK]:

“I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.”
