Humility

What if someone walked up to you and said, “You have pride”? How would you respond? Some might deny it outright, while others might question it. But what does pride really look like, and how can we recognize it in ourselves?

We will explore the prophecy of Obadiah, one of the minor prophets of the Old Testament. Though little is known about Obadiah, whose name means “worshiper of Yahweh”, and his message is clear and bold. He addresses the downfall of the Edomites and brings to light lessons on pride, humility, and justice that resonate deeply with the issues of today.

TREASURE SEEKERS

This week at Treasure Seekers, the kids finish the book of Esther.  Is God able to save his people from their enemies, even when it seems impossible?  Children aged approx. 3-7 are welcome at Discoverers, and aged approx. 8-11 at Explorers.  Please can Explorers kids bring their bibles?

Title: The Jews’ Feast

Text: Esther 8:1 – 10:3

Big Idea: Mordecai and Esther made a new law so the Jews were not destroyed and there was great celebration!

Aim: To teach that we should trust God and be thankful because he always saves his people – even when it seems impossible.

The memory verse for the Esther series is: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
