HOW TO DEAL WITH LONELINESS

The Bible shows us another way to go in life. Not the common way. Not the easy way. Not the attractive way. But the way that God calls us to go. The way of listening to and of obedience to Gods’ Word. We might know we should go this way. But how attractive is it? It feels as if you are almost alone, if you would go this way. As if you will end up unhappy, lonely and laughed at. Now listen at this song: Psalm 1. Hear how a choir sings that those who go this way, are blessed. Psalm 1 and Psalm 2 invite us to join a people and a King who go this way. The book of Psalms is a songs- and prayerbook to be heard and sung, making you aware that you are not at all alone when you go this way. You are very welcome to come to church upcoming Sunday (Psalm 1) and next week (Psalm 2) to learn more!

Treasure Seekers – in person

God keeps his promise to Abraham!  This week the kids see how God is faithful and powerful, in the next chapters of Genesis.

During the ICF Delft service, children leave for their own Bible teaching at Treasure Seekers part-way through the service, after the kids’ song, and rejoin for the final song of the service.  The creche room is also available for 0-2 year olds. For those not attending ICFD in person, we’ll continue to send materials by email.

This Sunday, the kids’ Bible passage is Genesis 17:1-8; 18:1-16; 21:1-7.  The Big Idea is that despite their old age, God keeps his promise to give Abraham a son with Sarah.

Here is a video telling the story and explaining it. The kids’ song is: “Our God is King Over All the World”.

The memory verse for the Abraham series is Psalm 145:13b:

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” [NIV]
