LOVE IN PRACTICE

Someone can say: I love you. That’s nice. But what if you are in trouble. And that person is not at all interested to help you. Though he could. We all feel that love shouldn’t only be in words, but also in deeds, practically. Upcoming Sunday we will read John 13, where Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. We will see what Jesus’ love means practically. And how our love can and should become practical. You are so welcome to learn more!

TREASURE SEEKERS

This Sunday is the kids’ last lesson from the Sermon on the Mount, from Matthew’s gospel.  ICF Delft offers two Treasure Seekers groups on Sundays, Discoverers and Explorers.  The children go for their Bible teaching in these groups just before the sermon, and rejoin the service for the last song. All pre-school and primary-age kids are welcome.  The guideline is that if the child can read (English or Dutch), then Explorers is appropriate, while if the child cannot read yet, then Discoverers is appropriate.  The room at the far end of the New Church is also available for a self-supervised creche for 0-2 years.Lesson Title: GodlinessText: Matthew 7:15-23Big Idea: Jesus warns his followers that their actions must match their words. Jesus’ real friends are those who can be seen to live for him.Teaching Aim: To encourage the children to choose to live for Jesus rather than just say they follow him.
