The birth of one who comforts us – 4th Advent Sunday

For many of us a Christmas break has started or is soon upcoming. You may have felt that you needed it. Our work can make us tired. But there are things beyond work that make us tired, things in our work and in our daily lives. One who experienced this very strongly is Lamech. Longing for rest and for comfort he gave his newborn child the name `Noah’ – which name has to do with comfort. Upcoming Sunday, when we read the last part of Genesis 5, we will look more deeply into this story and into how this relates to the birth of our Saviour and to our tiredness and sadness and grief. You are so welcome to come and to learn more!!
