There are times we deeply feel we need comfort. There can happen things that make us feel very sad. What comforts you and helps you? How can you go on after a great loss? After Jesus’ Ascension there was a great loss that needed to be dealt with. No, not the departure of Jesus. He would still be with the apostles and with the church. But the apostasy of Judas needed to be dealt with. Upcoming Sunday we will read about that in Acts 1:15-26 and we will see how the church was comforted and able to go on.
