Many of us are travelling the upcoming time. Going home or going on vacation. Your journey may go smooth, or it may be challenging. It is good in these times of travelling to reflect on the journey of our lives. For also if we stay at home, we are still on a journey – the journey of our lives and the journey of the life of our church. In this sermon we read the final passage of Paul’s second letter to Timothy. In the end of the letter he asks him to come and visit him in Rome, where he was imprisoned. That was a great challenge. The apostle faced great challenged in the end of the journey of his life. Timothy faced great challenges, as he was asked to make this journey. And the church of Ephesus faced challenges in its ongoing journey, as they had to go on without Timothy. Upcoming Sunday we will see how, by the Holy Spirit, with his last words, the apostle edified and equipped them all for the journey in the footsteps of Jesus. We will read 2 Timothy 4:9-22. You are so welcome to join and learn more!
