Equipped to Live by Grace

As human beings we are born imitators. Someone may think that he or she is very original. But in some regard, we are always imitating someone. Probably we are less original than we might have thought. Soon we will celebrate Christmas. We celebrate and give thanks for the birth, the arrival, the coming, the advent of the Son of God in this world. He came to bring grace to this world. The grace that we need, before he comes again to judge the living and the dead. The grace of forgiveness, the new birth, adoption as God’s children. This has impact and implications for our daily lives. Those who believe become imitators of Christ, imitators even of God – as God’s children. This is a great change with any form of previous life; a difference like between darkness and light, night and day, to be asleep or to be awake.
