When you receive a very special treatment as a loyal customer or get something others don’t? A VIP means, in English, “Very Important Person” a very significant person. We often see this with world leaders: the red carpet is rolled out. Or with celebrities they receive special treatment.
A VIP, sometimes we look at them with a bit of envy. If only I could be one. It might even seem a little unfair. Why them and not us? It gives the impression that one particular group is being favored.
VIP treatment, it feels as though, for a moment, you are really important. You’re in the spotlight for a while.
Here’s a thought-provoking question: Does the Lord God also have certain preferences?
