Strength for God’s Discouraged Child

What if you prayed but there came no improvement? What if you endured but things got even worse? God’s children find themselves in a war. The war is primarily about our hearts – what we think and feel and believe about God and ourselves. Even though you may be correct in your doctrine, in your heart there may be a voice that continually says that it is all hopeless, all in vain. As we are on our way to celebrate Pentecost, we start to read Paul’s second letter to Timothy. Timothy was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. But he faced many discouraging difficulties.
