Church Leader’s Goals
What is the goal that leaders are aiming at? What can you do if you have complaints about their management? In a democratic society you can sound your voice through elections or a referendum and hope for leaders to enter the stage. In the store you can ask for the manager if the staff does not treat you well. How does that work in the church? Who supervises the leadership and what purpose should leaders in the church pursue? This is what Jesus is talking about in a stunning parable of the Tenants and the Vineyard (Gospel of Luke, 20.9-18).
