What’s wrong with favouritism?

Suppose a man comes into a meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. What if you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor”. What the problem here? One of Jesus’ apostles has the answer. Coming Sunday in the ICFD service we’ll read and consider his words. Be there (and you’ll see, all seats are equal!).

Scripture: James 2,1-12

See you on Sunday!
