PAINFUL QUESTIONS, POWERFUL COMFORT

`Do you have children?’ – can be a painful question if you long to have children, but you were not receiving them. `What is your occupation?’ – can be a painful question if you would love to work, but currently you don’t have a job. Sometimes people can be very insensitive with the questions they ask. In the Bible we find God asking questions. Jesus, asking questions. Mentioning the painful things. But it is not insensitive. He brings painful things to the surface, so that he can bring powerful comfort in these. This Sunday we will see how that works, as we read the last chapter of John’s Gospel, John 21
