Religion in secret?

Christian faith is a private matter. That is the general opinion about religion in Dutch society. You can believe whatever you want, but do not reach out to convince another person. Is that not exactly what Jesus says: “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)?
