Upcoming Sunday we will finish the sermon-series `grow in confidence with Luke’s Gospel’. The Gospel started with a man, Theophilus, who felt he needed more confidence and certainty. And it started with a priest, Zechariah, who was unable to bless God’s people after his service in the temple. Upcoming Sunday we will read how it ends. We will see how apostles grew in confidence and certainty through the risen Lord and were blessed by  Him. This was not recorded for them alone, but for us as well! The risen Lord gives faith to those who struggle with doubts and unbelief. He gives confidence and certainty, so that we might become his empowered witnesses to help others discover the same.

Treasure Seekers

Treasure Seekers begins a new series this Sunday, called “Mission Unstoppable”.  The children will look at the book of Acts.

Lesson Title  : The Ascension
Text                : Acts 1:1-11
Big Idea        : As he returns to heaven, Jesus promises to give his Holy Spirit to the apostles so they can tell everyone about Jesus.
Teaching Aim: To convince the children that Jesus is in heaven continuing to grow his church. The Holy Spirit helps people to do this.
