What was it, that attracted you to the first time to come to ICF Delft? What was it, that made you interested to explore a bit more about Christianity? Was it the sense of fellowship and family? Was it the comfort, the hope or the joy which are offered to us through the Gospel? Whatever it was, you might not have expected to be called to be one of those who extend the family and who carry the message to others. Upcoming Sunday we read the final part of Matthew’s Gospel. Obviously Matthew wrote for people who had doubts and wanted to explore the Christian message. While reading his Gospel, you are invited to become a disciple of Jesus. Surprisingly enough the Gospel ends with a commission by Jesus himself for disciples to become disciple makers. Not just of a few relatives or good friends, no `of all nations’. Anyone who became a disciple of Jesus is included in this `great commission’. Do you feel unfit and unready? Jesus knows. Upcoming Sunday we will also see how he deals with that.
