How to deal with restlessness

Spend ten minutes on Twitter and probably you will have found some things that make you angry. Regardless from which bubble you read the tweets. How can people say and do such foolish things? Incredible! Someone should do something about it! We really wonder: why? Why are people like this? This is not only the world we live in. We are part of that world. Whereas the world can have questions for God: God, why? – we should be aware that God has his’ why? – for us, also for me. We live in a restless world and we are part of that world.

Upcoming Sunday we read Psalm 2, a Psalm about that restless world. How can we deal with the restlessness outside and inside? How can we pray in such a world and find rest for our souls? You are so welcome to learn more!

Treasure Seekers – in person

God’s faithfulness continues — this week the kids see how God’s promise continues from Abraham to his son Isaac.

During the ICF Delft service, children leave for their own Bible teaching at Treasure Seekers part-way through the service, after the kids’ song, and rejoin for the final song of the service.  The creche room is also available for 0-2 year olds. For those not attending ICFD in person, we’ll continue to send materials by email.

This Sunday, the kids’ Bible passage is Genesis 24:1-67.  The Big Idea is that God is faithful in guiding Abraham’s servant to find a wife for Isaac. Here is a video telling the story and explaining it. The kids’ song is: “Our God is King Over All the World”.

The memory verse for the Abraham series is Psalm 145:13b:

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” [NIV]
