WHAT’S IN A NAME? – GUEST SERVICE

Names usually tell us something about the one or the thing the name is pointing to. The name `dishwasher’ for instance tells us what the device does. When parents give names to their children when they are born, the name sometimes expresses a hope of what the child will be like in the future. For instance, recently, I heard of a child that received the name `peace’. Names matter. Upcoming Sunday, as we prepare for Christmas, we look at four names that were given to Jesus centuries before he was born. We will see how these names came true in his life. And last but not least, we will see how we may profit from that. We will read Isaiah 9:1-7. You are so welcome to join. As this will be a guest-service, we encourage you to come especially if this may be your first time. Or to come again, if it is has been a while since you came last time. Or to look around and to see whom you can invite.
